Seek Him First Initiative

Seek Him First Initiative. Beginning Wednesday, February 18, we will embark on a 40-day prayer and fasting initiative to seek God for breakthroughs in our life, the life of the church, our nation and world.

During the Seek Him First Initiative all out other regular weekly activities will be on pause. As you participate in a personal fast, we’d like to invite you to join us on Wednesdays, beginning February 18 through March 25, from 7 to 8 pm for a corporate time of worship and prayer.

The Will of God, Part 7: God’s Will Prevails. The Early Church was engaged in an intense spiritual battle spearheaded by King Herod and his family line. Victory came through prayer, not a fistfight. Likewise, prayer is the pathway to victory today!

The Will of God, Part 6: Major Events and the Will of God. Through the example of the church in Antioch, we see that significant expansion and God’s will often unfolds through ordinary obedience, faithful encouragement, and generous response to the needs of others.

In the early ’60s, the Assemblies of God church of Canoga Park planted a new church in Simi Valley. The gatherings were held in a home on the east end of the valley until the house-church purchased the property at 171 Royal Avenue. Over the decades we have seen God move in powerful ways, transform lives, and the future looks bright!

We are taking intentional steps to meet the needs of a post-Christian world that is embedded in a postmodern cultural context. We believe the Gospel is “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes” and are committed to living for Jesus in a secular world while loving people with the love of Christ (Romans 1:16).
